City of Kannapolis
Welcome to the city of Kannapolis, a quickly transforming town that offers a hometown feel with easy access to freeways, affordable housing, and many upcoming job opportunities in the science fields.
The town is great for families as it offers a great variety of events during the summer such as concerts, sports, live arts & crafts shows, and much more. The city also boasts the Kannapolis Splash Pad, an outdoor giant sprinkler system located in its beautiful park. Also on site is a YMCA, community pool and a great miniature train for the kids to enjoy.
Kannapolis is best known as the home town of racing legend Dale Earnhardt, but will soon be acknowledged as home to one of the country’s leading biotechnology research centers. The NC Research Campus, a $1.5 billion life sciences hub that is home to eight universities, will be completed within the next five years and is already home to several private firms.
