Huntersville has experienced tremendous growth over the past twenty years, attracting many newcomers to the Charlotte area for it's close proximity to Lake Norman and Charlotte, and its variety of available housing.

Huntersville boasts many pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods including Birkdale, noted for it's fabulous shopping, restaurants and movie theater, pedestrian-friendly connections and trails, and golf village. Huntersville is the location of the North County Regional Library, the Discovery Place Kids Museum, Historic Latta Plantation, the Carolina Raptor Center, the Carolina Renaissance Festival in the fall, Rural Hill Farm, and Duke Energy's Explorium right on Lake Norman -- Huntersville has something for everyone seeking a home in the Charlotte metro area.
