Welcome to the Town of Huntersville
Huntersville is the largest of the three Lake Norman area towns, located just north of Uptown Charlotte. The town is bordered by Cornelius & Davidson to the north, Lake Norman to the west, rural pastoriaL farmland to the east and Charlotte to the south.
Huntersville's history dates back to the early 1800's/ The town is named after land owner Robert Boston Hunter. The pastoral farm land and early railroad lead to the the growth of this town. Later, Virgin Manufacturing Company, a cotton mill became the first major employer. Today, Huntersville is the host to a variety of major employers including companies like RubberMaid, Presbyterian Hospital, Joe Gibbs Racing just to name a few. Huntersville has experienced tremendous growth over the apst twenty years attracting many new comers to the Charlotte area for it's close proximity to Lake Norman and it's variety of available housing.
Huntersville boast many predesterian friendly neighborhoods including Birkdale, noted for it' shopping, pedesterian friendly connections and golf village. Huntersville has something for everyone seeking a home in the Charlotte metro area.
