Vermillion

Vermillion is an established neighborhood with a traditional look located near downtown Huntersville, NC. It is just entering its second phase of growth with New Vermillion: http://www.newvermillion.com/. The Vermillion community is conveniently located 1 mile from I-77, with easy access to I-485, the airport, hospital, a variety of schools and shopping: Downtown Huntersville, the North Lake Mall, Birkdale Village and Rosedale.

The neighborhood itself brings a feel of the good ol’ days, where neighbors greet each other by name, and enjoy getting back to nature. The Bowman Square Village Center, Harvey’s Bar and Grill are big draws for residents, as is the Vermillion Swim Club, boasting a competition-sized pool, splash pool, open-air pavilion, large sundeck and cabanas. There is a park, playground, and a wooded forest of 2.5 linear miles of natural parkland. Families with young children can bike or walk to Discovery Place Kids.

Home selection is varied, as there are small-lot homes, townhomes, condos over shops, and bigger homes on larger lots. There are many builders to chose from in this neighborhood, and they hope to have the second phase fully-built in 2012.
